Bleckley County High School Class of 1988
Sets 30th reunion

It has been 30 years since we threw up our yellow caps and accepted our diplomas.  Time has endeared but the memories we made have not faded.

Who can forget pep rallies, Mr. Libby’s Algebra tests, Geometry with Mrs. French, ‘Ruby Reds’ for the boys from Mrs. McCammon, football games, basketball games, chatting in the halls, riding around town from Hardee’s and Dairy Queen after school, sitting out front of the school on the picnic tables,  Coca Cola t-shirts, swatches, prom and sitting in the senior balcony in the lunchroom?

Some of us were together for all 12 years, while others of us moved to town later – around fourth grade and around eighth grade. Then of course, the schools consolidated in the fifth grade.  We shared so much  together, were happy together, got mad together and at each other, and we supported  each other.

Raised in ‘Royal Country,’ we know the true meaning of ‘purple pride.’

With that in mind, a plan for a 30th anniversary reunion like none other has been set. Friday, October 12 and Saturday, October 13, 2018 is the weekend planned, and the place is Cochran, Georgia.

Links to the registration flyer and form can be found here. Also, for more information, go to our contact form.

We look forward to hearing from you and seeing you and yours October 12-13.

Time to dust off your purple and gold!
